The Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) annually holds a forum for academicians and quality assurance units on issues relevant to promoting quality assurance matters in the region and enhancing international cooperation, integration, harmonization and networking. The East African Higher Education Quality Assurance (EAQAN), established in 2012, annually holds a platform in which people engaged in quality assurance come together to discuss areas of common interest and share ideas and experiences. So far 12 forums have been held and this platform was the 13th and took place in Nairobi, Kenya from the 9th to 12th September 2024. The University of Health Science, Bossaso, joined the IUCEA this year and a representative from the university, Prof. AM Osman, participated in the 13th forum of EAQAN.
