Position Summary:-

The University of Health Sciences is seeking a full-time instructor to join the faculty of Food
sciences and Nutrition beginning February 2023, to provide quality academic instruction in support
of the university’s Mission and Values. The successful candidate will be a dynamic instructor who
uses active Teaching and learning techniques to engage students, this position facilitates
mentoring, university-wide initiatives, community outreach and educational research. The

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities are but not limited to:

► Conducting lectures and participating in trainings, seminars, workshops,
practical sessions, supervisions related to the field of Food & Nutrition as well as
provide on-demand co-ordination and strategic support for students across the university.

► Working as a team member with all the staff, create innovations in teaching and learning
methods, and work to provide an environment for students to be partners in learning

► Undertaking educational research that are published in peer-reviewed journals and
actively contributing to the University’s annual research journal.

► Supervision of students as well as participating in extra-curricular activities and meetings

Selection Criteria

◗ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

► Master degree in (Food Sciences & Nutrition related subjects).

► Strong instructional experience in the Nutrition field.

► Possess an excellent communication skill, have the ability to communicate professionally
and clearly with students and staff, both orally and in writing.

► Full understanding and successful use of learning technology.

► Willingness to facilitate and encourage student success by working to develop the current
academic learning environments.

◗ DESIRABLE :

► Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with oncampus groups (including students, faculty, administrators and staff), as well as, off-campus
community and education partners.

► Passion for student education and student development.
