Phase one: for delivering university requirements, basic skills and integrative sciences.

Phase two: for clinical clerkship (apprenticeship) in clinical practice training centers in hospitals and other healthcare facilities; and common tracks related to professionalism and the legal aspects of practice in forensic medicine.

Opportunities

  • After the successful completion of the study program, graduates with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery ( MBBS) can be involved in managerial, commercial, industrial or NGO’s career, related to one of the various specialties of Medical sciences, practice or research.
  • Medical graduates can further their studies in basic sciences ( anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry and their branches like genetics and molecular biology) or MD or fellowship to specialize in clinical sciences: medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, oncology and their subspecialties.

Why Choose university of health sciences??

Aiming to reverse the declining trends in key health sector indicators, The College of Health Sciences Bosaso was established in September of the year 2000 in response to the scarcity of medical professionals in Somalia at that time as a result of the civil war that caused killings and gravitation of most medical personnel to other countries. Since its inception, thousands of students have graduated from the college.

To foster a conducive and enabling environment for the holistic development of students through provision and/or facilitation of quality development and welfare services both outside and within the classroom.

All applicants must complete an application form in hard copy and submit it to the Registrar. The application forms are available at the Office of the Academic Registrar. The application form should be accompanied by all supporting documents showing the applicant’s qualifications. Application forms shall be processed only upon receipt of stipulated non-refundable application fee. After processing the applications, the Registrar shall communicate the decision in writing to all applicants.

The applicant is responsible for the authenticity of any documents submitted for the purpose of securing admission. Should such documents be proved at any time to be fraudulent, admission will be nullified.
